Rohit Deo

Rohit Deo hails from a prominent musical lineage and represents the next generation of this distinguished tradition. He is the son and direct disciple of Pandit Mukundraj Deo and has been undergoing sustained tabla training for over fourteen years. His artistic foundation is further enriched by the influence of his grandmother, Dr. Manjiri Deo, a world-renowned Kathak dancer and teacher. Rohit has been awarded the National Scholarship for Tabla by the Government of India, recognizing his talent and dedication. As a performer, he has accompanied eminent artists such as Pandit Satish Vyas, Pandit Pravin Godkhindi, Dr. N. Rajam, Dr. Manjiri Deo, Dr. Manisha Sathe, and Dr. Sangeeta Shankar. He has presented tabla solo and accompaniment performances in India as well as internationally, including appearances in the USA, Dubai, and Thailand.
