Biography

Rikhil Raithatha is a bansuri (North Indian bamboo flute) player and teacher based in London. He began his formal training in 2017 under the guidance of the late Clive Bell and has since continued advanced study with musicians in India, grounding his practice in the Hindustani classical tradition.

His musical activities include live performances, individual instruction, and digital projects related to music learning. He teaches bansuri to students of different levels, offering structured guidance in fundamentals and repertoire. His lessons are conducted in Wembley, London, and are open to beginners as well as advanced learners.

Alongside music, Rikhil has a background in software engineering, which he applies to developing learning resources for students. He has created web and mobile tools that support practice and study, including applications and resources focused on bhajan lyrics, alankaras (practice patterns), and raga reference material. One of his projects is a devotional lyrics application designed to help users browse and access bhajan texts by category.

His work combines performance, teaching, and technology-based learning support, contributing to contemporary approaches to Hindustani classical music education.
