Ragini Maharaj

Ragini Maharaj is a talented Kathak dancer and the granddaughter of the renowned Padma Vibhushan Pt. Birju Maharaj. She is associated with the Lucknow Kathak Gharana, a prestigious school of Indian classical dance known for its grace and expressive storytelling. Ragini completed her schooling at The Banyan Tree School in New Delhi and pursued her undergraduate degree in Sociology from Sri Venkateswara College. She is currently nearing the completion of her Master's in Social Work from IGNOU. Growing up in New Delhi, Ragini was influenced by a rich cultural heritage, as her grandfather hailed from Lucknow and her grandmother from Varanasi, blending diverse cultural elements into her performances. With two decades of extensive performances both in India and internationally, Ragini Maharaj has made significant contributions to the world of Kathak, showcasing her skills and deepening the appreciation for this classical art form.
