Nitish Purohit is a performing Sarod player, composer, and music teacher based in Pune, Maharashtra. A disciple of renowned Sarod maestro Pandit Tejendra Narayan Majumdar, he is also a multi-instrumentalist proficient in Sitar, Mohan Veena, Western classical keyboard, and vocals. He has performed at prestigious events, including the Miraj Umarsaheb Music Festival and the Bhimsen Sangeet Samaroh, and has an upcoming European tour to showcase Indian classical music internationally. As a composer and session artist, he blends traditional Raags with contemporary arrangements, performing Raag Shree, Raag Basant Mukhari, and Raag Manjh Khamaj across various platforms.
