Naveen Kumar

Naveen Kumar, whose full name is P. M. K. Naveen Kumar, is a renowned Indian flautist known for his significant contributions to Bollywood and instrumental music. Born in 1965 in India, he began his musical journey at a young age and has been active in the music industry since 1983. Over the years, he has established himself as one of the most respected flute players in Indian film music, admired for his soulful melodies and technical mastery. 

Naveen Kumar is especially famous for his work in Bollywood films, where his flute pieces have become iconic. He has collaborated with some of the biggest music composers in India, including A. R. Rahman, Ilayaraja, Pritam, Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy, Sajid–Wajid, and Salim–Sulaiman. His flute can be heard in several popular songs and background scores, such as the famous “Bombay Theme” from the film Bombay (1995), as well as songs like “Zara Zara” and the title track of Kal Ho Naa Ho. His work has played a crucial role in shaping the emotional depth of many hit songs.
