Smt. Maitreyee Roy Dadarkar is a Hindustani classical vocalist based in Kolkata, associated with the Kirana gharana. Her musical training spans guidance from prominent gurus, including Shri Pallav Bhadra Roy, Pt. Arun Bhaduri, Vidushi Ashwini Bhide Deshpande, and Padmavibhushan Vidushi Girija Devi. She has also been a scholar at the ITC Sangeet Research Academy, reflecting a strong foundation in traditional vocal pedagogy.
Her performance practice centers on khayal, with regular appearances at classical music conferences and broadcasts on All India Radio, Mumbai. Her approach is informed by the Kirana gharana’s emphasis on melodic elaboration and tonal clarity, supported by extensive training and stage experience.
Maitreyee Roy Dadarkar has received recognition through awards such as the Best Vocalist at the Doverlane Music Competition and distinctions in the All India Radio Competition.
