Biography

Laboni Chakraborty is a singer and music composer based in Kathmandu, Nepal, known for her performances in classical, semi-classical, and contemporary Nepali music. Her musical repertoire combines elements of Indian classical raga traditions with modern Nepali compositions, allowing her to work across different musical styles and performance formats.

She gained wider recognition through her participation in The Voice of Nepal Season 3 (2021), where her blind audition performance of “Jhirma Uninu” introduced her to a national television audience. She later appeared in Mero Voice Universe Season 2 (2025), presenting a solo performance based on Raag Todi, which highlighted her grounding in classical music training.

Alongside her performance career, Laboni Chakraborty is associated with Raagrup Music School, where she mentors students in vocal music and classical training. Her recorded works include singles and soundtrack contributions such as “Jindagi Ko Yatra” (2025), “Badanamle” (2025), “Nirvana Stotra (Reprise Version)” from the film Kaya – The Abode of Soul (2024), “Ardhangini” (2024), and “Yatra” (2024), which are available on major digital music platforms.
