Biography
Jaywardhan Dadhich is an Indian vocalist, composer, and performer based in Delhi–NCR, recognized for his work in Hindustani classical music and his significant role as a Kathak vocal accompanist. A classically trained singer with a PhD in Vocal Music, he combines technical depth with versatility, performing across genres, including classical, bhajan, Sufi, and ghazal traditions.
He is particularly known for his close association with Kathak, where he provides vocal accompaniment for dance recitals and conducts workshops such as “Naad & Nritya,” exploring the relationship between music and movement. His work emphasizes key elements such as laya (tempo), bhaav (expression), and rhythmic interaction, contributing to a deeper integration of music within dance performance contexts.
In addition to live concerts under his platform #JDLive, Jaywardhan has performed at major venues including the India Habitat Centre and the National Centre for the Performing Arts. He has also participated in projects such as ARRived, judged by A. R. Rahman, and has released music on digital platforms. Through performance, composition, and pedagogy, he continues to engage with both traditional and contemporary expressions of Indian classical music.
