Biography
Jagannath Dhaugoda is a Nepalese tabla player known for his work in Nepali classical, devotional, and contemporary music performances. Through concerts, recordings, and collaborations with other musicians, he has contributed to the development and presentation of percussion music within Nepal’s cultural and musical landscape.
As a performing artist, Dhaugoda frequently appears in cultural programmes, educational events, and music initiatives, where he represents the role of tabla within traditional and modern Nepali music. His performances have also been highlighted in academic and institutional settings, including programmes organised by institutions such as Vidyarthi Niketan Higher Secondary School, where he has been recognised as a leading musician in the Nepali music community.
In addition to live performances, Jagannath Dhaugoda has participated in recording projects and collaborative music productions. He contributed to the song “Sina Jya–Asare” as part of the Living Heritage project, working with artists such as Niva Dangol, Deepson Putuwar, and Rabindra Maharjan. His recorded works are available on digital streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and TIDAL, and his repertoire also includes devotional compositions such as “Damodarastakam.
