Harish Sivaramakrishnan is an Indian vocalist in playback singing, Carnatic music, and fusion. Lead vocalist and co-founder of Bengaluru’s Agam, he works in Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu cinema.

Biography

Harish Sivaramakrishnan is an Indian singer, composer, and Carnatic musician associated with film music and independent music projects. He was born on 29 September 1980 in Shoranur, Palakkad, Kerala. He holds a degree in chemical engineering from BITS Pilani.

He is widely recognised as the lead vocalist and a founding member of the band Agam, a group known for blending Carnatic music with progressive rock elements. Through Agam, he has contributed to popularizing Carnatic-based contemporary music among younger audiences.

Alongside his band work, Harish is active as a playback singer in Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu films. He made his Tamil cinema debut in 2016 with the song “Unnai Maatrinaal,” composed by Leon James. He later gained wider recognition for the song “Veyyon Silli” from the film Soorarai Pottru (2020), which earned him the South Indian International Movie Award (SIIMA) for Best Playback Singer (Male—Tamil) in 2021.

Apart from music, he has had a parallel professional career in design and technology. He has worked with companies such as Adobe and Google and serves as Head of Design at CRED.

His career spans film playback, independent albums, live concerts, and fusion projects, placing him at the intersection of Carnatic tradition and contemporary music formats.
