Guruprasad Gandhi

Guruprasad Gandhi is engaged in the practice and teaching of Hindustani classical music, focusing on harmonium performance and tabla. He began learning music at the age of seven and continued structured training in percussion and melody instruments. His tabla training has been under the guidance of Pandit Yogesh Samsi, a tabla artist associated with classical concert performance. His harmonium training is with Pandit Sudhir Nayak. Gandhi performs in ensemble settings that involve classical rhythm and accompaniment formats, with recorded instances of him on harmonium supporting tabla soloists and jugalbandi presentations. Publicly visible activity also includes offering workshops and music lessons.
