Biography

Darshan Doshi, born on 16 January 1986 in Mumbai, is an Indian drummer and composer active in film, studio, and live music settings. He began performing at a very young age and entered the Limca Book of Records in 1997 as the youngest drummer in India. His father, Shailesh Doshi, was his first guru, after which he trained under Pankaj Sharma and Ranjit Barot.

He was associated early on with the children’s music group Little Wonders by Kalyanji Anandji, gaining exposure to stage and studio environments from a young age.

Darshan Doshi has contributed drums and percussion to numerous Hindi films, including Rock On!!, Black, Dhoom 2, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Queen, Secret Superstar, Fitoor, and Dear Zindagi, among others. He has worked with major composers such as A. R. Rahman, Amit Trivedi, Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy, Pritam, and Vishal–Shekhar.

He has also been part of prominent live music platforms such as Coke Studio India and MTV Unplugged India, contributing to televised and live-format performances.

As a live performer, he has toured and performed with artists including Salim–Sulaiman, Farhan Akhtar, Adnan Sami, Diljit Dosanjh, and Hariharan. He has also been associated with bands such as Fuzonica, Aakruti, Defying Gravity, Tapasya, and Nakshatra.
