Aparna Panshikar is an Indian classical (Hindustani) vocalist based in Pune, Maharashtra, recognized for her versatility as a performer and teacher. She was introduced to Hindustani classical music at an early age and initially trained under the late Pandit Bhaskarbua Joshi. She later continued her training under her mother and guru, Meera Panshikar, deepening her grounding in raga, voice culture, and repertoire.

Aparna Panshikar’s performance repertoire spans khayal, semi-classical forms, and collaborative or experimental projects that connect Hindustani music with other genres. She has worked with the ensemble Trinaad, alongside bassist Jayen Varma and drummer Jean Davoisne, exploring cross-cultural soundscapes while retaining a classical base.

As an educator, Aparna Panshikar is known for developing a systematic online teaching approach, enabling students from different countries to access structured Hindustani vocal training. This has expanded her reach beyond the traditional classroom model.

Her discography includes multiple albums released over the years, featuring solo work and collaborative projects. In addition to concert and album work, Aparna Panshikar has also composed and sung for films, including international and independent productions.

Through performance, teaching, and recording, Aparna Panshikar continues to contribute to the evolving presentation of Hindustani classical music for both traditional audiences and newer listeners.
