About The Tate Institute
The Tate Institute is a community venue in Silvertown, east London, founded by the sugar refiner Henry Tate in 1887 as a social and educational facility for workers at his refinery. The hall stands on Wythes Road, a short walk from the Thames.
It now serves as a neighbourhood gathering space and hosts concerts, community programmes and cultural events. KalaSudha presents its London Ragas baithak concerts here.
