Sri Bhaini Sahib

Sri Bhaini Sahib holds a central place in the history and living practice of the Namdhari tradition. It was here in 1857 that Satguru Ram Singh Ji initiated the Namdhari movement, laying the foundations for a community defined by spiritual discipline, social reform, and resistance to colonial rule. Over time, Bhaini Sahib became the principal base of the Namdharis, especially during periods when their leaders were restricted or exiled by British authorities.

Today, Sri Bhaini Sahib serves as the registered headquarters of Namdhari Sikh Sangat (Regd) and remains the focal point of Namdhari religious and community life. Under the patronage of His Holiness Sri Satguru Uday Singh Ji, the site hosts regular spiritual observances, Paaths, Havaans, and Varnis, alongside charitable activities.

The complex houses welfare facilities, including a 24-hour free Langar, support services for the elderly, and educational initiatives. It also functions as an organizational hub from which medical aid, financial assistance, and relief efforts for underprivileged communities are coordinated.

As a venue, Sri Bhaini Sahib represents both a historic landmark in India’s socio-religious history and a living center of spiritual, cultural, and humanitarian activity.
