Indian Music Experience, Bengaluru

The Indian Music Experience Museum (IME), situated in JP Nagar, Bengaluru, holds the distinction of being the first interactive music museum in India. As a non-profit initiative backed by the Brigade Group, the IME aims to expose the younger generation to the vast array of Indian music while safeguarding the country’s rich musical heritage. The museum features state-of-the-art multimedia exhibit galleries, a Sound Garden, a dedicated Learning Centre for music education, and multiple performance spaces. Since its inauguration in 2019, the IME has welcomed over 348,917 visitors in person, along with many thousands engaging online. The IME actively engages in various areas, including exhibitions, conservation efforts, audience development, education, and community outreach. In addition to museum tours, it offers a diverse range of public programs, available both in-person and online.
