Established by the Government of India in 1960 on the historic Prabhat Studios campus, FTII offers education in filmmaking, acting, television production, screenwriting, cinematography, editing, sound recording, and animation. The institute is renowned for producing some of India's most celebrated filmmakers, actors, and technicians. Its heritage campus and industry-focused training have made FTII one of Asia's most respected film schools.
