The city serves as the site of the annual Santa Clara Convention Center, a venue that has hosted significant events in Indian classical music and dance. While not a traditional hub for Indian classical arts, the convention center and local cultural organizations have periodically organized performances featuring artists from both Hindustani and Carnatic traditions.

In 2016, the Santa Clara Convention Center hosted a large-scale concert by sitarist Anoushka Shankar as part of her Land of Gold Tour. The performance occurred on October 29 and featured compositions from her 2016 studio album Land of Gold, released under Deutsche Grammophon.
