Denver is a city in the United States that has served as a venue and production hub for Indian classical music performances and recordings. The city’s cultural institutions, including the Newman Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Denver and the Denver Art Museum, have hosted concerts by prominent artists since the late 20th century. Notable performances include a 1998 sitar recital by Ravi Shankar during his Full Circle: Carnegie Hall 2000 tour, though the exact Denver date remains undocumented in primary sources. The Colorado Indian Music and Dance Festival, founded in 2012, became an annual platform for Hindustani and Carnatic musicians, featuring artists such as vocalist Kaushiki Chakrabarty (2014) and mridangam player Umayalpuram K.
