Surmandal

Surmandal is one of Hyderabad's most respected Indian classical music organisations, committed to preserving, promoting, and presenting the finest traditions of Hindustani classical music. Founded in 1969 with the blessings of Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, the organisation has spent more than five decades curating concerts featuring legendary maestros and emerging artists. Surmandal regularly organises classical music performances, lecture-demonstrations, and the renowned Mohan Mitra Mahotsav. Beyond concert programming, it has actively contributed to cultural preservation initiatives, honouring iconic musicians and strengthening public awareness of India's classical music legacy.
