Rumi Foundation is a nonprofit cultural organisation founded by Muzaffar Ali to promote global harmony through art, music, film, literature, education, and interfaith dialogue. Based in New Delhi, the foundation supports cultural preservation, artisan welfare, heritage projects, and creative collaborations across India and abroad. It is internationally recognised for organising the acclaimed Jahan-e-Khusrau Sufi music festival, celebrating the spiritual legacy of Amir Khusrau.
History
Rumi Foundation was established in 2006 under the leadership of Muzaffar Ali with the vision of fostering global understanding through creative arts and cultural exchange. Guided by scholars, artists, and public intellectuals, the foundation expanded through heritage festivals, educational initiatives, artisan support programs, and interfaith cultural projects.
