Rooted in the guru-shishya tradition while embracing modern technology, the foundation provides mentorship, performance opportunities, support for digital content creation, and access to global audiences for emerging artists. Through baithaks, workshops, recordings, collaborations, and educational initiatives, PAAMF helps musicians develop both artistic excellence and professional visibility. History

PAAMF was established by Purbayan Chatterjee with the vision of expanding traditional music education beyond conventional training models. Recognising the challenges faced by young musicians in a digital era, the foundation was created to combine classical mentorship with opportunities for performance, recording, documentation, and international exposure. Based in Mumbai, PAAMF developed dedicated spaces for learning, rehearsing, recording, and presenting intimate baithaks.
