About Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre

The Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) is a multidisciplinary arts and cultural venue located in the Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai. It serves as a platform for performing arts, exhibitions, and large-scale productions, bringing together Indian and international artistic practices.

The center houses multiple performance spaces, including the Grand Theatre (2000 seats), Studio Theatre (250 seats), and The Cube (125 seats), along with a dedicated Art House for visual arts exhibitions. It supports a wide range of programming, including classical music, dance, theater, and global productions.

NMACC also features curated public art installations and initiatives that highlight traditional and contemporary art forms. Since its opening, it has hosted numerous performances and events, positioning itself as a major cultural destination in India.

History

The Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) was developed as part of the Jio World Centre in Mumbai to create a dedicated space for arts and culture. Founded by Nita Ambani, the center was established to promote Indian arts while also facilitating international cultural exchange.

Constructed at an estimated cost of ₹120 crores, the center officially opened on 31 March 2023. Its launch was marked by large-scale productions, including The Great Indian Musical: Civilization to Nation, setting the tone for its programming approach.

Since its inception, NMACC has hosted a wide range of performances, exhibitions, and international productions and has emerged as a key venue for cultural events in Mumbai within a short span of time.
