Department of Cultural Affairs, Chandigarh Administration, is the principal government agency responsible for promoting, preserving, and supporting cultural activities in the Union Territory of Chandigarh. The department organises theatre festivals, music concerts, literary events, craft fairs, youth workshops, and cultural exchange programs while supporting over 100 amateur and professional cultural groups across the city. It also provides annual grants to institutions such as the Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Akademi, Chandigarh Lalit Kala Akademi, Chandigarh Sahitya Akademi, and the Tagore Theatre Society to conduct year-round artistic and cultural programming.
