Dhine Dhadhin

Dhine Dhadhin is the third track on Farakala, a collaborative studio album by percussionist Trilok Gurtu and the Malian collective The Frikyiwa Family. The album released on November 7, 2005, under the independent label Frikyiwa in CD format.

The composition spans 6 minutes and 27 seconds. Gurtu contributes tabla, frame drums, and electronic percussion, while The Frikyiwa Family provides traditional West African instrumentation, including kora, ngoni, and vocal harmonies. The track exemplifies the album’s fusion of Indian classical rhythms with Mandinka folk traditions, characterized by interlocking percussion patterns and call-and-response vocal phrasing.

Farakala marks Gurtu’s first full-length project with The Frikyiwa Family, though specific recording locations and production personnel remain undocumented in available sources.
