Classical Music on Flute is a studio album by Carnatic flautist Dr. N. Ramani. The album features four compositions performed in the Carnatic classical tradition. Ramani released the recording in May 2000 as an official CD.
Ramani selected works from prominent composers of the Carnatic repertoire. The album opens with Vinayaka Hamsadhwani in Adi tala, a composition by Veenai Kuppaiyer. The second track presents Deva Deva set to Mayamalavagowla raga in Rupaka tala, attributed to Swathi Thirunal. The third piece, Swara Raga Sudha Rasa, follows the Shankarabharana raga in Adi tala and originates from Tyagaraja’s body of work.
