Biography
Vinay Varanasi is a multidisciplinary artist and storyteller based in Bengaluru, working at the intersection of Indian mythology, classical music, and visual expression. His work focuses on interpreting Puranic narratives and spiritual themes through storytelling formats designed for contemporary audiences.
With a background in architecture and design research, he has also been involved in educational initiatives through his work in design-based learning. Alongside this, he has trained in the veena under Smt. Kashi Vishalakshi and collaborates with musicians in developing thematic content and lyrics for classical presentations.
His storytelling sessions, including themes such as Krishna narratives and mythological explorations, are presented across venues in India and internationally. He has conducted performances and workshops in cities across Australia and Europe and continues to engage audiences through live events and digital platforms.
In addition to performance, his practice includes visual art, where he creates paintings aligned with his narrative themes. His work spans storytelling, music collaboration, and visual interpretation within the broader context of Indian cultural and spiritual traditions.
