Vibhav Khandolkar is a contemporary Hindustani classical tabla player recognized for his rhythmic precision and sensitive accompaniment style. Belonging to the current generation of tabla performers, he has established himself as a versatile artist who performs in both solo recitals and collaborative concerts with prominent vocalists and instrumentalists in the Indian classical music tradition.
Khandolkar began his musical journey with early training under Pandit Pundalik Kalangutkar and later continued his studies with Pandit Tulsidas Navelkar in Goa. Seeking advanced guidance, he moved to Pune to train under the noted tabla maestro Ramdas Palsule. This rigorous training helped shape his playing style, which combines strong traditional foundations with a nuanced understanding of accompaniment and rhythmic improvisation.
Over the years, Vibhav Khandolkar has performed at numerous concerts and classical music festivals in India and internationally, collaborating with respected artists across the Hindustani classical music spectrum.
