Biography
T. V. Ramprasadh is a Carnatic classical vocalist, educator, and social entrepreneur with a well-established presence in both performance and pedagogy. Born on 13 May 1969, he began his musical training at the age of three under the guidance of his father, Shri Vyasa Rao.
He later received advanced and rigorous training from several eminent maestros, including Padma Bhushan P. S. Narayanaswamy, S. Rajam, T. V. Gopalakrishnan, and R. R. Keshavamurthy. His vocal style is recognized for its depth, traditional orientation, precise diction, and strong emphasis on manodharma.
T. V. Ramprasadh is an A-grade artist of All India Radio and an empanelled artist with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). He has performed widely across India and internationally, with concerts in countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore, and various parts of Europe.
He is the founder and director of Ambalam Arts & Culture, based in Bangalore, an organization dedicated to the teaching, preservation, and transmission of Indian classical arts.
On the personal front, he is married to noted Bharatanatyam dancer Indira Kadambi. Their son, Vishnu Ramprasadh, is a musician and the inventor of a new musical instrument known as the Navtar. In addition to his musical career, T. V. Ramprasadh is academically qualified as a lawyer and a cost accountant.
