Thirucherai Karthik

Thirucherai Karthik began learning the violin at the age of eight, inspired by a televised performance by Ganesh and Kumaresh. His early lessons were under Srinivasamurthi, followed by formal training with Vidwan V. L. Kumar for more than eleven years. He continues his advanced learning under Palghat Ramprasad and S. Varadarajan. Karthik has performed across leading sabhas in Chennai for over eight years and holds a B-Grade classification from All India Radio. He received the “Sangeetha Mudhra” award from Mudhra for Best Violinist. Alongside his musical work, he is a final-year ECE student at Rajalakshmi Engineering College. His interests also include cooking and assisting his family at home.
