Biography
Sunando Mukherjee is an A-grade artist of All India Radio, Kolkata, a Sur Mani awardee, and an empanelled artist of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations. A performing musician and composer, he regularly presents Indian classical music in India and abroad. Educated at Sailendra Sircar Vidyalaya, his journey reflects discipline, clarity, and artistic depth.
Alongside concerts, he is widely associated with dance and thematic productions. He composed music for the dance work Roohani Rung, recorded at Dhoon Acoustics Studio with leading artists of Kolkata, including vocalists Jaydeep Sinha and Priyasmita Ghosh, Kathak dancer Arunima Sengupta for bol-parhant and voice, sarangi player Umesh Mishra, and recordist Koushik Som.
Sunando has also been part of major presentations with the Anurekha Ghosh Dance Company in programs organized by the Bidhannagar Progressive Forum, including productions such as Mythical Shakti at the Bidhannagar Christmas Carnival and Fair. Through performance and composition, he continues to connect classical tradition with contemporary stage expression.
