Biography

Sriranjani Santhanagopalan has emerged as a multifaceted artist whose work spans performance, education, curation, and discourse within South Indian classical music. Her singing combines classical structure with a nuanced interpretive approach, shaped by years of training under her father, Neyveli Santhanagopalan. She is widely recognized for her concerts at leading festivals worldwide, where her music is noted for its expansive manodharma, thoughtful repertoire, and emotional depth. Her honors include “Isai Peroli,” “Kala Ratna,” and several awards from the Music Academy, Chennai, including distinctions for both vocal performance and lecture-demonstrations.

Beyond the stage, Sriranjani founded the Tapasya School of Music, where she mentors a global student community with an emphasis on creative interpretation and values-driven training.
