Smitha Srikiran has established herself as a significant voice in contemporary Carnatic flute performance. Her training under leading exponents—Vid. Vijaya Subramhanyam, Vid. A.V. Prakash, and Vid. Dr. R.N. Srilatha has shaped a style rooted in classical discipline and melodic clarity. Recognized as an “A” Graded artist by All India Radio, she is also empaneled with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), reflecting her standing at the national level.

Her performance career spans India and international stages across Europe, Southeast Asia, and the United States. A landmark in her recent career includes performing at the G20 Summit in India, where she represented Indian classical music on a global diplomatic मंच. She is also associated with culturally significant platforms such as the Krishnaveni Sangeetha Neerajanam festival.

Beyond performance, Smitha Srikiran contributes to music education as the founder of the Tarangaa music school, nurturing the next generation of students in the Carnatic tradition.
