Biography
Shalmali Sukthankar is an Indian playback singer and performing artist associated with the Marathi and Hindi music industries. She first gained public recognition through her participation in the popular television singing competition Sa Re Ga Ma Pa in 2008, after which she continued to develop her career as a vocalist in studio recordings and live performances.
Her musical work includes playback contributions and independent songs across various projects in television and regional cinema. She has been associated with productions such as the television series “Sundari” (2021–2024) and has contributed vocals to songs including “Aari Aari” from the film Dhurandhar – The Revenge and the title track of “Ek Din.” In addition to studio recordings, she frequently performs at live musical events and multilingual concert programmes.
Shalmali Sukthankar is also active as a digital content creator, sharing musical covers and performance clips across social media platforms. Her repertoire includes Marathi and Hindi songs along with selected international and contemporary music, demonstrating versatility in different musical styles. She studied at Ramnivas Ruia Junior College in Mumbai and continues to participate in concerts and cultural programmes across India.
