Biography
S. C. Krishnan (1929–1983), born Sivaganga Chelvam Achary Krishnan, was an Indian playback singer and actor associated with Tamil films and drama.
He began his career as a child artist in drama troupes and later worked with Modern Theatres. He appeared in films and later became known for playback singing, contributing songs to Tamil cinema.
He sang for composers including K. V. Mahadevan, Viswanathan–Ramamoorthy, G. Ramanathan, and others, and performed both solo and duet songs with various singers.
He was also associated with Chennai Doordarshan as a music director. He received the Kalaimamani award in 1981.
S. C. Krishnan died in 1983.
