Biography

Sayuri Nilam Nitin is a classically trained Hindustani vocalist based in Mumbai. She completed her master’s in Fine Arts (Hindustani Classical Vocal) from the University of Mumbai and received a gold medal for academic excellence in 2022.

Her training includes guidance from Pandita Shubhada Paradkar, Vidushi Gauri Pathare, Dr. Manisha Kulkarni, Shri Vasant Kadam, and Smt. Snehalata Mestry. Her repertoire includes traditional ragas such as Vrindavani Sarang and Khamaj, along with semi-classical forms.

She has performed as a vocalist at Prithvi Theatre for the play Sir Sir Sarla by Makarand Deshpande and the Ansh Theatre Group. In the classical circuit, she performs at baithaks and festivals, including events such as the SSAK Music Festival in Chembur and Guru Poornima programs for her gurus.

Sayuri has collaborated with musicians including tabla player Atharva Athalye and harmonium player Mihir Taksale.
