Biography
Kum. Sakshi Ashok is a Bharatanatyam practitioner trained under the guidance of Natyacharya Shri Mithun Shyam, a SNA Yuva Puraskar awardee and founder of Vaishnavi Natyashala. Her training reflects a strong foundation in classical technique, abhinaya, and spiritual intent, shaped through years of rigorous learning within the guru–shishya parampara.
Sakshi has performed in thematic and devotional Bharatanatyam presentations such as Tattva, a semi-live production exploring the Pancha Bhootas—Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Space—through the philosophy of Lord Shiva. Her work often integrates narrative structure with traditional choreography, drawing inspiration from Shaiva and Vaishnava traditions.
She has participated in dance offerings and recitals presented by Vaishnavi Natyashala, including Nrithya Seva and Navratri and Mahashivaratri performances, alongside fellow disciples of her guru. Her performances have been staged at cultural halls, temple venues, and institutional programs, including platforms supported by cultural organizations and government bodies.
Sakshi continues to develop her artistic journey through solo recitals, ensemble productions, and devotional dance offerings, remaining deeply rooted in classical Bharatanatyam aesthetics and the values imparted by her guru.
