Biography
Rudraksha Suhas Vaze is a professional tabla player from Goa, India, who began his musical training at an early age. Alongside tabla, he also studied vocal music, influenced by his family’s Kirtan tradition, and participated in Kirtan performances during his childhood.
His initial tabla training was under Satish Hegde, followed by further guidance from Pandit Ulhas Velingkar in Goa. He is currently receiving advanced training from Pandit Ramdas Palsule in Pune. In addition to percussion training, he has completed Visharad Purna in vocal music, contributing to his rhythmic sensitivity and accompaniment skills.
As a performer, Rudraksha Vaze has presented tabla in concerts across Goa, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, and Uttar Pradesh and has also collaborated with international artists, including music projects connected with Switzerland. He is active as an accompanist for Hindustani classical music, light music such as ghazals, bhajans, and film-based compositions, as well as dance performances.
He has accompanied several established artists, including vocalists such as Hrishikesh Badve and Amber Miringkar. His work has been recognized through awards at the Directorate of Art and Culture Talent Search Competition and Zonal Level Youth Festival, particularly for tabla solo performance.
