Rishab Prasanna

Rishab Prasanna is a well-known Indian bansuri (flute) player of Hindustani classical music. He was born on 16 February 1985 in New Delhi, India into a famous family of musicians from the Banaras Gharana. Music was an important part of his family tradition, so he developed an interest in classical music from a very young age.

He received his early musical training from his father Rajendra Prasanna, who is a respected bansuri and shehnai player. Under his father’s guidance, Rishab learned the techniques of bansuri and the rich musical style of the Banaras tradition. His family belongs to the Prasanna musical lineage, which has contributed greatly to Indian classical music.

Rishab Prasanna started performing at concerts and music festivals at a young age. Over time, he gained recognition for his expressive flute playing and his ability to present traditional ragas with clarity and emotion. He has performed at many prestigious music festivals and cultural programs in India and abroad.
