Ravinder Rajput

Ravinder Rajput is a Hindustani classical flautist (bansuri player) and music educator based in Delhi. Trained under Shri Kailash Sharma, he represents a lineage of flute playing rooted in the traditional aesthetics of Hindustani classical music. Over the years, he has developed a performance practice that focuses on the melodic depth and expressive possibilities of the bansuri within the raga framework.

As a performing artist, Ravinder Rajput regularly appears in classical music concerts and collaborative presentations. He is known for performing bansuri duet recitals with flautist Ganesh Singh, presenting repertoire that reflects the musical training received under their guru. In addition to duet performances, he has collaborated with instrumentalists such as sitar player Soumitra Thakur, presenting classical ragas including Bihag, Durga, and Nat Bhairav in concert settings. His presence extends to cultural festivals and music gatherings, including participation in events associated with organizations such as the Shruti Foundation.

Alongside his performance career, Ravinder Rajput has been actively involved in music education for over a decade, training students in Hindustani classical flute. His teaching approach emphasizes not only technical proficiency but also the development of musical sensitivity and individual artistic expression. Based in Delhi, he offers online lessons, private tuition, and in-person instruction, guiding students from beginner to advanced levels.
