Prasad Madiwalar

Prasad Madiwalar is a Hindustani classical tabla player and educator based in Goa, India. He holds a master’s degree in music from Karnatak University, Dharwad, and has received academic and artistic recognition for his work in Indian classical music. He is a two-time gold medalist and has also been a National Scholar of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

As a performing artist, he has appeared at various classical music events and festivals, including the Swaramangesh Musical Festival in 2025. He is active as a tabla accompanist, having supported vocal and instrumental performances as well as specialized productions such as Kannada Bhajans and live concerts across Goa and Karnataka.

Alongside performance, Prasad Madiwalar is engaged in music education, working as an online tabla tutor where he provides structured training in both theoretical and practical aspects of tabla playing. His teaching work complements his performance career and reflects a systematic approach to classical rhythm training.

He has also participated in interdisciplinary initiatives, most notably Swarakritt, a collaborative project exploring the relationship between music and architecture, developed in partnership with the School of Architecture at KLE Technological University. In June 2025, he was recognized by the Vice-Chancellor of Karnatak University, Dharwad, for his participation in discussions on innovation and ethics during the International Conference on Responsible Artificial Intelligence (ICRAI 2025).
