Biography
Vidushi Piu Mukherjee is a distinguished Hindustani classical and semi-classical vocalist known for her deep association with the Banaras Gharana. Trained under Padma Vibhushan Vidushi Girija Devi, she is acclaimed for her expressive renditions of Khayal, Thumri, Dadra, Tappa, Kajri, Chaiti, and Jhula. A regular artist with All India Radio, Kolkata, and a performer at prestigious festivals in India and abroad, she has shared the stage with leading musicians and collaborated on classical, semi-classical, and contemporary projects. Through concerts, recordings, broadcasting, and cultural presentations, she continues to preserve and promote the rich legacy of Purab Ang gayaki with authenticity and artistic excellence.
