Biography
Nina Rajarani MBE is an acclaimed South Asian dancer, choreographer, and Artistic Director of Srishti – Nina Rajarani Dance Creations, based in the UK. Born in New Delhi, India, Nina trained in Bharatanatyam and received her Diploma from the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in 1986, followed by her Arangetram in 1987.
Since then, she has performed and toured extensively across the UK, Europe, Singapore, Malaysia, and Australia, captivating audiences with her powerful stage presence and innovative choreography.
In recognition of her outstanding contribution to South Asian dance, Nina Rajarani was awarded an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in the Queen’s Birthday Honours 2009.
After a brief hiatus, she made her return to performance in 2010 with the touring production "These Are A Few of My Favourite Things", reaffirming her enduring influence in the world of Indian classical and contemporary dance.
