Nikhil Parihar is a Kathak dancer trained at the National Institute of Kathak Kendra, one of the principal institutions dedicated to the preservation and teaching of the Kathak dance form. As a learner, his training has focused on developing a foundational understanding of rhythm, movement vocabulary, and expressive technique that are central to classical Kathak practice.
His artistic journey includes time spent between Delhi and Pune, two important centers for Indian classical music and dance. This movement between cities has allowed him to engage with varied cultural and learning contexts, contributing to his evolving perspective as a dancer.
