N J Nandini

Dr N. J. Nandini is a Carnatic classical vocalist, playback singer, educator, and researcher from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Trained under eminent gurus including Prof. Parassala Ponnammal, Prof. P. R. Kumarakerala Varma, Dr S. Bhagyalakshmi, and Dr M. N. Moorthy, she has been active on the concert stage since 2004. A Top Grade artiste of All India Radio, she has performed at leading music festivals in India and abroad and is particularly noted for her interpretations of Swathi Tirunal compositions. She holds a PhD in Music, serves as Assistant Professor of Music at Maharaja's College, Kochi, and founded the Nayaki Music and Arts Foundation. Her honours include the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi Award, Chembai Puraskaram, M.S. Subbulakshmi Fellowship, Outstanding Lady Vocalist Award from The Music Academy, and numerous other recognitions for her contributions to Carnatic music.
