Lopamudra Mitra

Lopamudra Mitra is one of the most acclaimed voices in contemporary Bengali music. Born in Gangarampur, West Bengal, she gained prominence in the 1990s and became a pioneer of Kobitar Gaan—songs based on modern Bengali poetry. Trained in classical music, Rabindra Sangeet, and Nazrul Geeti, she is known for blending literary depth with expressive vocal artistry.
