Pt. Krishan Mohan Mishra is a distinguished Kathak dancer and choreographer representing the Lucknow Kalka-Bindadin gharana. He is part of the direct hereditary lineage of the Maharaj family of Kathak. He is the eldest son of Birju Maharaj, the grandson of Acchan Maharaj, and the great-grandson of Bindadin Maharaj, placing him within a historically significant tradition that has shaped modern Kathak.
He serves as a Senior Guru at Kathak Kendra, New Delhi, the national institution dedicated to Kathak dance. In this role, he is involved in advanced training and mentorship of students in the classical repertoire and technique of the Lucknow style.
Pt. Krishan Mohan Mishra is particularly recognized for his group choreographies, presenting structured classical works such as Tarana and other traditional compositions, frequently set to music created by his father.
