Biography
Kamalaksha Mukherjee is a gifted harmonium player known for his soulful artistry and sensitive accompaniment in Indian classical music. Coming from a musical family, he was inspired by his father, a tabla player, and began his musical journey with vocal training before dedicating himself to the harmonium. He trained for over two decades under the legendary harmonium maestro Sri Maharaj Banerjee, refining his skills and musical expression. A National Scholarship recipient from the Ministry of Culture and a Ph.D. holder from Rabindra Bharati University, Kamalaksha has accompanied many renowned vocalists and performed at prestigious music festivals across India. His melodic touch and deep musical understanding make his performances both captivating and emotionally enriching. He is also a graded harmonium artist of All India Radio.
