Biography
Jashan Bhumkar is a Hindustani classical vocalist rooted in the Jaipur-Atrauli gharana. His training comes from senior and respected gurus, including Smt. Dhondutai Kulkarni and Smt. Kishori Amonkar, through whom he follows a traditional classical framework.
His work includes classical vocal music as well as ghazals, abhangs, and semi-classical formats. He has performed at recognized events such as the Gaanasaraswati Mahotsav 2024 and has been featured on national platforms, including Doordarshan and All India Radio.
In 2025, he released “Megh Malhar (Baadal Ghumad Ke Aaye),” a contemporary presentation based on the classical monsoon raga. His other tracks include “Raagmala Aarti,” “Rangi Sari Gulabi Chunariya,” and “Sajna Badal Gaya.”
He also runs an online series titled “Riyaaz Room,” where he shares classical practice material and vocal demonstrations with a wider audience.
