Biography

Jagmitra Lingade is a young Indian classical tabla artist based in Maharashtra, recognised for his work in both solo performance and accompaniment within the Hindustani music tradition. Emerging as a child prodigy with appearances at platforms such as Baal Utsav (2014), he has developed into a performing artist active on contemporary concert stages.

He has performed at events including the Satguru Jagjit Singh Sangeet Sammelan in New Delhi and has participated in competitive platforms such as the Satguru Jagjit Singh Shastri Sangeet Pratiyogita. His performance practice includes accompaniment for classical vocal music as well as solo tabla presentations, with a focus on rhythmic structures such as Teen Taal and ensemble formats like tabla trio in Jhaptaal.

Lingade has also appeared at festivals such as the Brahmhanad Sangeet Mahotsav (2026), contributing to emerging artist lineups in Indian classical music circuits. His work reflects a developing presence within the tabla tradition, combining foundational training with increasing exposure to national performance platforms.
